Dress code

Bust out your buttons-ups and frocks, we’re dressing up! The dress code is modern-day Cocktail attire. It’s a balance between formal and casual, with a bit of fun or glitz, but mainly chic and comfortable. The venue is inside so it’s not impacted by weather.

Staying nearby

For our interstate friends and international family, there’s plenty of accommodation nearby the venue. Suburbs to look in are: Collingwood, Fitzroy, Abbotsford, East Melbourne and Carlton. We’ve linked some options below.

Wishing well

Your time and attendance is our greatest gift. However, if you want to contribute to our honeymoon there will be a wishing well open for sweet notes and well-wishes on the day.

  • Believe it or not, we haven’t had an international jet-setting holiday together yet! NZ is the furthest we’ve traveled together.

    We wish for nothing more than to relax in a lush rainforest, eating noodles and drinking cosmos.

    We’ll be taking off to Bali for 10 days after the wedding, to enjoy a villa, yoga (Bec), reading (Jase), good eats (both) and some R&R.

    Any wishing well contribution will be spent on:
    • Accomodation
    • Experiences
    • Nice dinners

  • We hope, first and foremost, you attend as a guest,
    to us, your time and attendance would be the best.

    However if you want to contribute to our future,
    our honeymoon-well would be a good suitor.

    Simply drop well-wishes in, or a sweet note,
    and we’ll put it towards a trip on a boat.

    We’re happily living together already,
    with toasters galore and glasses at the ready!

    A wishing-well will be an option we’d celebrate,
    but only if you wish to participate!

Jason and Bec

 

I want the love story!

in 2015, Bec and Jason met one usual Wednesday morning during social media training at ME Bank. “Who’s this pretty lady in all black telling us about cool Tweets?”, Jason thought to himself.

What ensued was a fun and supportive friendship for a few years, with Bec and Jason swapping memes, recipes, and travel tips. They’d go on coffee runs and lunchtime walks at work, and got to know each other deeply during this time.

One day whilst doing website planning, Bec noticed Jason was cute and made her laugh ALL THE TIME. Jason realised Bec got all weird and nervous around him all of a sudden, which was unusual.

Jason got the memo, and asked Bec out to dinner (Italian, of course). Bec tried to pretend she didn’t want the garlic bread, but then ran the waiter down and ordered it last minute because a. she actually wanted it and Jason looked shocked (he would never stand for no garlic bread).

Turned out they both loved looking outward at the stars, cooking epic meals, the same music, and each other.

Since 2018, they’ve been inseparable and built a life they love, together. An easy life with colour, ideas, dinner parties. They’ve nourished a beautifully supportive and fun group of friends, and a loving family they cherish.

“Better together”, as they often say.

At the end of 2020, on the first day of their summer holidays, Jason took Bec to his family home and proposed at the top of the garden. Growing up, the De Lucas always felt something special would happen there (so Jase made something special happen).
